Welcome to Green Bee Gal

Imagine walking down an old country road. It’s gravel and dirt beneath your feet, no cars in sight—only the sound of crickets and the hum of bees. You bend to pick a wildflower, and as you stand, you spot a well-worn path trailing off among the trees. You pause, curious, then climb over the ditch and let your feet follow where it leads.

New path

There’s the sound of water nearby—babbling softly—and you wonder if it’s a creek. The path is cool and quiet under the canopy of leaves, and just when you start to wonder where it ends, the trees open into a sun-dappled clearing. Before you stands a small cabin, weathered and warm. Leaves rustle behind you and a cat trots out from the bushes, up the front steps as if to say, “Come on in.”

The screen door squeaks open, and an older woman steps out, scratching the cat’s ears. Her face lights up with a smile.
“Hey,” she says cheerily, “I see you’ve met Teddy.”

You raise a hesitant hand in greeting. She waves you onto the porch with a welcome sweep of her arm. You climb the steps and ease into a rocking chair, unsure if you’ve interrupted something.

“I was just about to have a cup of tea,” she says. “Would you like one?”
With that, she disappears inside as the screen door swings and bangs shut. You sit quietly, listening to the sounds of the woods.

A moment later, she returns with a tray—two steaming mugs, sugar, a bowl of lemons, and a plate of home-baked cookies. She sets it down with care.
“My name is Michele,” she says warmly. “And I’m so glad you stumbled upon my little piece of Heaven.”

She invites you to fix your tea just how you like it. As you sip, she continues,
“I spent years dreaming about this place. Too many years listening to others tell me who I was supposed to be, what dreams were worth chasing—what dreams weren’t. I followed their voices instead of my own.”
She takes another sip and sets her cup gently on the tray.
“Have you ever found yourself in a place like that?”

Welcome to my little cabin on the internet. I hope you will stick around and read some more. I look forward to meeting you.
