A New Path
Imagine, you’re walking down a quiet dirt road, surrounded by the sounds of crickets and buzzing bees. You stop to pick a wildflower, and in the distance, you spot a trail leading into the woods. Curious, you climb over the ditch to follow it.
The trees provide cool shade as you walk, and you hear the soft sound of running water. You expect a creek but instead, step into a clearing. There, a small, cozy cabin catches your eye.
Before you move closer, a rustle of leaves startles you. A cat darts past, confidently heading up to the cabin’s porch. The screen door opens, and a friendly woman steps out. She pets the cat, then looks up with a warm smile.

“Ah, you’ve met Teddy,” she says with a laugh. Unsure, you wave, but she motions you over. “Come, sit a while,” she says, and you find yourself in a rocking chair on the porch.
“I was just about to have tea,” she adds as she steps inside. When she returns, she brings a tray of tea, lemons, cookies, and honey from her own bee hives and a welcoming smile.
“I’m Jana or the Green Bee Gal,” she introduces herself. “This cabin was my dream for years, but for too long, I let others’ opinions hold me back.” She pauses. “Have you ever felt like that?”
