What Does Vintage Mean to You?
When you hear the word vintage, what comes to mind? Perhaps it’s a family gathered around the radio—mom sewing, dad enjoying a pipe. Or maybe it’s the iconic fashion of flapper dresses or 60s mod styles, and a time when life felt simpler and slower.
The Return of Vintage
In recent years, vintage has made a remarkable comeback. From clothing to furnishings to entire lifestyles, it’s everywhere! Pinterest is packed with vintage-inspired ideas—cleaning schedules, meal plans, and recipes. It’s funny because I always say, “I was vintage before it had a name!” Growing up this way, the resurgence feels both familiar and refreshing.
The Homemaker Role
There’s even a new term, “Trad Wife,” for women who embrace homemaking. I’m not sure if it’s meant to be sincere or ironic, but I’ve always identified with this role. I love cooking, cleaning, sewing, and caring for my home and daughter. A frugal mindset even helped us buy a home and homeschool on a single income.
